B-BRITE 2026 Application

Welcome to the Summer 2026 B-BRITE Program Application!

Application materials for Oregon Health & Science University's Biomedical & Bioinformatics Research Internship and Training Experience (B-BRITE) at the Knight Cancer Institute, including letter(s) of recommendation, must be submitted online by the deadline of 11:59 p.m. (PST) on Thursday, January 22, 2026.

Selection and notifications are expected to take place by early March 2026.

The B-BRITE program is scheduled to run from June 22, 2026, through August 14, 2026, contingent upon the continued availability of program funding.

Please note: All interns onboarded at OHSU are required to meet institutional health and safety requirements. If selected for the program, you may be asked to verify your vaccination records depending on your lab placement. Please be prepared to adhere to these requirements, as compliance is necessary to participate in an in-person internship at OHSU.

Please review the B-BRITE Summer Program website to learn more about the program.

Eligibility:

  • We are seeking motivated college undergraduates with a strong interest in biomedical or data science careers who have completed foundational introductory science courses, such as biochemistry or computer science, depending on the student's research interests.
  • This internship program is for college students who have completed two undergraduate years but have not yet graduated by the start date of the program in June 2026. Please visit the OHSU Summer Internship site for a complete list of internships across OHSU.
  • Students must be available and present for the entire duration of the internship. No vacations or breaks may be taken.
  • Visa sponsorship is not available for this program. International students enrolled at a U.S. institution with a valid visa may be eligible to participate, subject to approval from their designated school official.
  • Students must be at least 18 years of age by the start of the B-BRITE program to participate.

The B-BRITE Application:

We also ask for the name(s) and contact information of at least one, and no more than two, professors or supervisors who can provide a letter of recommendation commenting on your potential to be successful working in a basic science research environment.

After you identify your references in the application, they will receive an email from no-reply@rlogx.com within 24 hours containing a link to upload their letter of recommendation.

If your reference does not receive the email within that timeframe, please ask them to check their spam or junk folder. If the email is still not found, contact us at cancerbiointern@ohsu.edu for assistance.

In addition to completing the application form, you will need to submit the following documents (as PDF, JPG or Word Files):
