The Experimental Therapeutics in Cancer Training Program at the Knight Cancer Institute offers an immersive 2-year postdoctoral training program for PhD and MD fellows. This program bridges basic and clinical research to train future translational scientists in oncology and therapeutic development. 

• Program Duration: 2 years 
• Eligibility:
  • Open to postdoctoral PhD, MD and MD/PhD fellows 
  • Must be a U.S Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident
• Focus: Oncological drug development, target validation, biomarker research, and translation to clinical trials 
• Co-Mentorship: Required co-mentorship from both basic and clinical faculty

• Translational research proposal (2 pages max) 
• Personal statement summarizing the candidate’s training and career goals and how these align with the ETC training program (1 page max) 
• A letter from the proposed research mentor outlining a training plan for the candidate and indicating support for the candidate and their participation in the T32 program 

Application Timeline: Apply by May 1st, 2025. Expected start date: July 1, 2025.
